Zendesk
Go to your Zendesk Admin panel
This will give you access to the settings needed for the integration.


Navigate to "Apps and integrations"
In your Zendesk admin panel, go to "Apps and Integrations" and select "Zendesk API" under "APIs" section.

Add OAuth Client
On the "Zendesk API" page, click on the "OAuth Clients" tab located on the top bar. Next, select "Add OAuth client" button to create a new OAuth client for the integration.

Fill out the OAuth Client form
A form will appear for creating a new OAuth client. You will need to fill this form to create an OAuth client specifically for your Intryc integration. This OAuth client will manage the connection between Zendesk and Intryc. In the "Redirect URLs" field, enter
https://your-subdomain.intryc.com/zendeskcallback. Once you fill out the form, click Save. A new secret token will be generated; make sure to copy the token as it will be required for the integration with Intryc.

Go to Intryc Connections
Congratulations! You've successfully created the new OAuth client. Now, go to Intryc, scroll down the side bar and go to Settings > Connections. Alternatively, you can use

Click "Connect" next to the Zendesk option. A new pop-up window will appear, displaying the next steps for setting up the connection. Here's what the window should look like:

Complete the Connection
Fill out the form using the information from the Zendesk OAuth client creation steps earlier in this guide. Here’s what each field represents:
Subdomain: Enter your Zendesk subdomain. Be sure to follow the format shown in the example and do not include a backslash at the end.
OAuth Client unique identifier: Use the unique identifier you provided during the Zendesk OAuth client creation.
OAuth Client secret: This is the secret that was autogenerated after you saved the OAuth client form. Data ingestion start date: This is the date from which tickets will be ingested on Intryc. There's a limit of up to 3 months.
Once you've filled out the form, select "Add". You’ll be redirected to Zendesk to approve the integration. Please note that this is a read-only integration, meaning we can only read your data, not modify it.
Complete the Integration After you approve the integration in Zendesk, you’ll be redirected back to Intryc. Your Zendesk connection will now be displayed as active.
