Managing Coaching Sessions

Session Statuses

Each session moves through three main statuses:

  1. DRAFT

    • Session is being prepared.

    • Only visible to coaches/admins.

    • Can be edited freely.

  2. SCHEDULED

    • Session is ready and planned for delivery.

    • Coachee is notified when status changes to SCHEDULED.

    • Notification includes session name and the planned delivery date.

    • Visible to the coachee.

    • Still editable before delivery.

  3. DELIVERED

    • Session has been delivered to the coachee.

    • Can still be viewed and updated (e.g., action items).

Status & Visibility Rules:

  • Coachees only see SCHEDULED and DELIVERED sessions.

  • DRAFT sessions remain hidden from coachees.


Editing a Session

  1. Go to the session: /coaching/{sessionId}

  2. Edit any of the following:

    • Session Details – Name, coach, dates, scorecards, status

    • Criteria / Discussion Points – Add/remove criteria, update summaries

    • Notes – Overall session notes

    • Private Notes – Internal coach notes

    • Action Points – Add, edit, complete

Changes are saved automatically or via a Save button, depending on your setup.


Deleting a Session

  • Coaches (with appropriate permissions) and admins can delete sessions.

  • Deleting a session also deletes all associated discussion points and action items.

  • This action is permanent.
